The Test Campaigns List is the only sanctioned audience for MailGenie test sends.
Required checks
Before any send-capable test action:
- Confirm the active MailGenie organization.
- Resolve the selected audience by its application-visible identity.
- Verify that the selected audience is the Test Campaigns List.
- Review sender identity, subject, message content, links, and scheduling state.
- Abort before provider submission if the audience is missing, ambiguous, stale, or different.
Customer, production, bulk, and marketing audiences are forbidden for test sends. A preview label or a button named “test” does not make an audience safe.
Evidence for controlled testing
Record non-secret proof of:
- organization identity;
- selected list identity;
- campaign identifier and state;
- provider submission result;
- delivery or failure result.
Never include recipient addresses, passwords, tokens, provider credentials, or private message content in documentation proof.
